PHP: 4.3 or higher
MySQL: 3.23 or higher
WWW Server: Apache
O/S: Linux

Requires PHP 4.3 (or higher) and mySQL 3.23 or higher running on a web server. Apache web server (preferred) on Linux O/S is ok. Browsers: Netscape 6.2 or Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher, and Firefox are supported. 'Powered by' link required, may be Waived with payment.

Server extensions

phpYellow will run without any special server extensions or modules. phpYellow will run 'out of the box' on any properly configured web server.

Summary

The requirements for MySQL, WWW server and browser are so basic that almost any LAMP serving configuration can support a phpYellowTM site. The PHP version requirement of 4.3 or higher deserves closer scrutiny. Is your host running PHP version 4.3 or higher? The phpYellowTM application will run on almost any web server on almost any host as long as the host has a "reasonably" up-to-date PHP version.

What Release will you receive?

Production

If you decide to install yourself without the free installation services, then you receive a download link in an email for the latest Production version. This does not include the zipcode data nor zipcode proximity search (does not matter outside of USA), nor features under development. This DOES include the world famous phpYellow Pro EditionTM open source software with world renowned, reliable stable code.

Development

If you let us install on your web server then you receive the absolute latest development code. This includes all the latest tools and features. This pre production code is NOT released in any distributed zipfile. This DEVELOPMENT codebase is the recommended release pathway.

Release Pathways

If you are installing then you will receive the Production release.
If we are installing then you will receive the Development release.
