Faster categories
phpYellow QuickSearchTM categories are designed to perform better and faster than other software especially in business registration, visitor search and other yellow page operations. The structure used is a flat and expandable hierarchy with all categories on the same level. This allows for much faster searches.

The inclusion of a Miscellaneous category for every section ensures you have every category
your visitor will possibly need.
The category design uses upper and lower categories. The lower categories are expanded in detail. This
allows listers to
precisely select their best category. The upper category allows users to easily list in more than one
category.

The upper will also automatically return search results from all the lower categories.
This feature is a subtle but useful result when using Structured Query Language (SQL). phpYellow
is designed to make the most of the QuickSearchTM category structure and of SQL.
Search Engine Friendly
Most yellow page software uses html special character ampersand characters such as "&" which search engines may not index, or may have trouble indexing, or which the target directory may have trouble returning useful results for. There are no QuickSearchTM categories which contain special character or ampersand characters. Removal of special characters like ampersands helps make search urls friendly for all search engines, and easier to read by humans.
