Overview
Coupons are a proven way to drive more customers to your business. They are time limited special offers. These offers are valid only with the presentation of the coupon by the customer to the business. The customer obtains the coupon by mail marketing, or in the case of the internet, by printing out a webpage containing coupons.Maximize coupon sales by limiting coupon use
Since usually a coupon offer is a very good deal, sometimes below or near cost, businesses are careful about terms and conditions of coupon use and specify such conditions on the coupon itself. Normally there are limits associated with number of coupons per sale item, and or coupon limits per customer per visit, and or limits within a certain period of time. One way to control coupon use is to put a time expiration on the coupon such that coupons presented after a given date are not valid. phpYellow lets business create 3 coupons for every business listing. Each of the 3 coupons per listing may be a different offer. Each offer may have unique disclaimers (terms and conditions) and different expiration dates.phpYellow coupons are presented in a number of places including:
a. bizcard link to a printable coupon page
b. last 100 recent coupon offers
Since each coupon may be printed an unlimited number of times and is available from any internet connected computer this could mean the distribution and use of any coupon may be considerable.
Coupon physical aspects
The width of coupon pages is set to allow for 100% page printing.Each coupon contains a link which points back to the merchant listing, making it easy for an interested party to inspect the company offering the coupon special.
How to create a coupon?
Login to the customer dashboard and click on the coupon icon. Enter text and submit. To remove a coupon, remove the text within the unwanted coupon and submit. Coupons or coupon webpages saved or printed before the removal will still be in circulation. Such coupons emphasize the need to place disclaimers of use and or expirations for each coupon.Example:
